  2. Building Critical Thinking Through Explicit Knowledge Instruction: We explore a process for strategically selecting and building schemas of knowledge in a way that ensures learning is rigorous, intentional and builds critical thinking skills.
  3. Vocabulary Instruction and Close Reading: Discover how to use vocabulary and close reading to drive consolidation of content knowledge, critical thinking and analysis of content knowledge.
  4. Writing and Feedback: A sequenced, rigorous method for embedding writing and feedback easily and naturally.

"L4L offers a simple and effective way to embed reading and writing instruction in our units. The workshops remind us of the basic skills for students to succeed. I love that the methods are easy and practical, and remind you of the nuts and bolts of what students need. As an English teacher, the approach suggested has been really influential in how I've adapted my teaching.
